Beards are in along with flannel shirts and lambs-wool double-breasted cardigans. Sounds like something Will Ferrell's character Roger Clavin would wear. But recently I have seen some postings on beards and I can't help but put in my two cents. I think they are distinguished and yes, even manly. They are much better than dealing with the day-old stubble that manages to pierce my face in every single way possible. And yes, I sometimes have relations with a man who rocks a beard.

Look at my poor, willing friend posing for a photo that may either cause upheaval and distress or praise and glory. Is Allison's fish cardigan and turtle neck combo a fashion don't or a fashion hell yes? It is a bit kindergarden teacher-ish, but I just admitted to loving tights and loafers. So I can't talk! Personally, I love the fish cardigan and the color of the turtle neck. That is a color you don't see on many kindergarden teachers.
With my love of loafers, tights and skirts expressed, I find it odd that I will scoff at highly priced clothes, being the "bargain shopper" that I am, but spare no expense for shoes. I think it must be the practicality of shoes that attract me. However, clothing is no less practical. What is it about shoes? Do you find yourself feeling the same way? Is Carrie Bradshaw right? Or is this just my problem?
There is nothing I love more than wearing a cute skirt, tights, and loafers or flats. Classic and comfortable. Call me an old lady or even a Catholic School girl past her prime, I don't care! I love it!
Skirt~ Forever 21 $22.80
Tights~ Forever 21 $8.80
Shoes~ Audrey Brooke for DSW $59.95

I'm sure you can agree with me that an alarm buzzer is the worst noise in the world, especially after staying up all night watching Noah's Ark, drinking wine, and eating stale Domino's pizza with your friends (or by yourself). Every time my alarm goes off in the morning I wake up angry that this horrible alarm demon is waking me from my comfortable slumber.
So, I tried setting my alarm to music. I downloaded Ingrid Michaelson's The Way I Am and set my phone alarm to that song. I don't wake up any easier, but at least I wake up happy.
I saw this guide on mondemeladie and was surprised to see that the blogger uses a cold cream. My assumption is that she is neither old nor wrinkly, but further explanation told me she uses it as a preventative measure.
I am 23 and still fighting mild acne. It seems morbid to think about wrinkles already, but many young celebrities are already getting botox. I mean, who doesn't want to maintain their taut, supple young skin? Using a little cold cream now, seems like a much better option than getting extensive procedures in the future.

I know it's important to vote, that's why I did it last Thursday, but after you do don't forgot to take advantage of all the election promotions going on. To mention a few, free coffee at Starbucks, free donuts at Krispy Kreme, free chicken at Chik-Fil-A, and an election day sale at The Limited. And just in case you find this unethical or didn't vote, read this blog.

I just saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno this weekend and it made me laugh. Above and beyond that…some horribly cheesy porn scenes and a sweet love story between two roommates.
Movie out on DVD. I don’t know how I hadn’t heard that The Strangers is actually not scary. It is quite suspenseful for the first 20 minutes, but after that you just wish that the movie would be over to spare the characters the embarrassment at how stupid they are for not being able to get out of the situation time and time again.
I also saw Rocknrolla, Guy Ritchie’s latest film. I just have to say that I love Gerard Butler and Thandie Newton. Toby Kebbell plays a very good, clean-shaven, sometimes philosophical junkie who is extremely well prepared for any situation that arises. Tom Wilkinson is a huge ass hole that you love to hate and Ludacris and Jeremy Piven create an equally interesting side story. The amount of heists, bad guys, and comical bad bad guys is worth a look.
