J's Everyday Fashion. She is a must follow as she is always sharing great outfit inspiration as well as special offers like this one.
I had been searching for a budget-friendly version of this necklace for a while and had passed up on some other versions because they did not look very high quality. When I saw the offer on J's blog, I knew I had to jump on it because unlike the other versions I had seen, this one looked promising. After opening the package, I was happy to see that the quality was indeed higher than some of the other necklaces I had seen. Immediately, I wanted to pair it with my chambray shirt and pencil skirt. It's such an easy look to pull off and the chambray shirt is such a simple back drop for this colorful accessory.

Tipsy Lemonade and Peach Iced Tea and a good book.
Apparently if you want to drop it like it's hot, you need to eat some peaches. Not sure what that means. All I know is that I have been seeing a lot of recipes lately featuring this juicy summer fruit. I went to the farmer's market to get my fair share this weekend and here are some recipes that I give two thumbs up!

OK. Let's be real. This dress is more of an attempt to be comfortable on Casual Friday than it is an attempt to be fashionable. It's that decision you make as you are staring at your closet on Friday morning wondering if you should wear pants or not. Clearly not pants in the form of a dress or skirt wins, especially in the summer. I did make some effort to be edgy by pairing it with this awesome military-style jacket. I like the mix of dressy and tough. The jacket lends itself to this kind of styling with its puckered shoulders and peplum waist. This isn't the first time I've stretched this jacket's use. Here I am wearing this jacket with a silk shirt to work.
Do you like mixing structured and feminine pieces?

I dug this shirt out of the recesses of my closet as I was looking for something new to wear with these pants. I've definitely rocked the stripe with these pants before, but I really love how complimentary this shade of blue is with orange. This shirt was on its way to Plato's Closet if not for that. Creating an outfit that I've never worn before using this old as dirt shirt and $15 pants makes me feel good about my ability to shop my own closet. I think I am just trying to wear as many summer clothes as I can before fall gets here. Although, I have to say I am maybe just a little too excited for fall. That's why I'm sharing a pretty summer bouquet at the end of this post. Summer always feels too short.
Are you excited to wear fall clothes or are you holding on to summer?
See how I paired this shirt with a Neon Belt here.
