Gratuitously Preppy Easter

Banana Republic Necklace / Ralph Lauren Shirt / Ann Taylor Pants / Nine West Shoes / British Khaki Blazer via T.J. Maxx

There are a few times in life when dressing gratuitously preppy feels right. They include anytime you are below the Mason Dixon Line, Kentucky Derby Parties, and Easter. I used to have a unique hatred for the traditional pastels of the holiday, but I have come to embrace them as they have become a vestige of luke warm weather and much needed time with my family. This year's outfit was completely constructed during one of my shopping trips for the Goodwill Good Style Show. I found both this Ralph Lauren shirt and Ann Taylor pants for about $4 each. I couldn't have asked for better a better pairing. Knowing that I had this outfit just waiting to be worn and the fact that it will be a mild Easter as far as temperature, I made the game-time decision to wear pants as opposed to my usual dress. What do you plan to wear this Easter?
